High Priestess of Ichthyopolis

Today we filmed my section of Andre's animated epic Ichthyopolis. Its been three years coming and was well worth the wait. Im totally in love with the costume he and his assistants made for me and thought I would share it with you as a sneak peak to the film.

Cool, no?

Mmmmm Gooooood....

Ben & Jerry's is fudging the truthiness.
The maker of Phish Food, Cherry Garcia and Vermonty Python is adding Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream to its collection of cult figure-inspired ice cream flavors.
Billed as "the sweet taste of liberty in your mouth," Americone Dream is vanilla ice cream packed with fudge-covered pieces of waffle cone and a caramel—or is that a conservative?—swirl.
"I'm not afraid to say it. Dessert has a well-known liberal agenda," Colbert said in a statement. "What I hope to do with this ice cream is bring some balance back to the freezer case."

Feeling a bit like Oscar this week...

I noticed yesterday that I recommend this film (Nobody's Business by Alan Berliner) to my student's more than any other. Its a wonderful example of: mixing formats, taking something personal and expanding it into a larger context, dealing with a difficult interviewee, finding your own place in the film as the filmmaker, and so much more...

So now, I'll recommend it to you all.

Plus, Alan Berliner, as one student pointed out, looks a little like Chuck Norris...so how can I not recommend his films to everyone?

Where these people could really push me over the edge.

If any of you out there have any doubt that grading is demanding work...think again.

One of my students posted this on their own blog...

And I thought it was worth stealing. Thanks Chris!
